 member since 2021 Feb 01 Questions: 17 Comments: 19 | I noticed シェーバー is being pronounced as シェイバー。It was also spelled as シェイバー in the book on pg 310. Why is シェーバー being pronounced as シェイバー or is this an exception for this word? Thank you so much for answering all my picky questions. | |||||

As for spelling, シェーバー would be more common to use. But シェイバー is acceptable too. When pronouncing the word, either way (シェイバー or シェーバー)is fine. It depends on the person :) | ||
