Question to Student: do some japanese words take longer to memorize

so recently i started learning Japanese some basic word but some of em like words like o genki desu ka or Onegaishimasu every time i try to say how are you or please in Japanese I'll always end up coming out wrong it , so what i want to know is was it like this for you guys or am i missing something wrong cause i practice every day for almost 2 hours

Yes, takes longer to learn
You just need to say it over and over again then all of a sudden it will just flow out and you’ll never forget it. Remembering vocabulary is my biggest challenge. It’s just the way my brain works. Be patient.
