Wow -- at the end George telling it like it is about Chie! Now that it's ancient history, it would be interesting to hear about what happened to Chie -- why did she so abruptly leave the shows? It's probably good that she left though, otherwise there probably would not be a Japanese Topics Mania show...

Really good show, really do love the shows with Hiro in.

Not to pick a fight, but I find it ironic that you would say that here. This show presents Japanese in a way you can't find anywhere else. If you want traditional Japanese lessons, buy a textbook.

I thought the 質問コーナー thing was a good way to break it up and assist with the show pacing. Was a bit surprised how much of this show's material I already knew. Must have something to do with that crate of textbooks at the back of the room I rarely touch.

I'm sorry to be critical of this video, but overall it was very weak for a couple of reasons: 1) Only two or three of the words they give are useful in any way. The other ones are either something you could look up in a dictionary, or actually kind of gross, and I'd never probably use them anyway. 2) I'm all for being laid back and having fun with the video, but there is no organization or flow to the show. They introduce a word, and sometimes it takes a minute or two for them to actually explain the meaning becaause they are joking around. Overall, if you have some extra credits, you might want to watch this, but if I'd actually paid for this, I wouldn't be at all happy.

Weird but excellent show. Tell Mari-san to screw the chin thing coz she looks fine especially with the cute hood on :P
