Beauty vids Dave! :thumb: Quite enjoyed them.

I have to wonder how many people in the audience had actually heard a Dazzle Vision song before this show. No matter though, as at least they got to experience some real Japanese music this time round.

Myself, I would've went to this if I was in range and my only option, but I'd be more into going to their gig in Japan where it's mostly just true metal people at the scene. I went to my first anime/comicなど convention this weekend. Complete waste of time and money for me. It would be good to see more non-anime convention related tours, (like the upcoming mothercoat/andymori one), because not all fans of Japanese music dig this オタク type stuff. And realistically, you could bring in any band to a deal like that, and as long as they're from Japan, the audience is gonna be all giddy about it.

Dazzle Vision's performance made them a lot of new fans, and there were many people who came to the event just to see them perform.

On the contrary, we've seen indie and major-label bands give so-so performances at anime events, and the audience reaction was lackluster because of it. There's no automatic reaction. These audiences are various ages, and they're educated about Japanese music.

Dazzle Vision and HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR got a great response because they gave top-level performances.

Well, yeah sure... after they seen 'em play.
Dazzle Vision is right incredible live!

However...c'mon...

Would there have been less people there, if it were Morning Musume or some similarly such "critically acclaimed" artist?
I know you didn't totally miss my point previously, but don't try to distort it. :)
