After Shakey's we went to the Antoni Inoki (famous Japanese wrestler) themed bar in Ikebukuro. That was a ton of fun! Next YesJapan meetup might not be at Shakey's!
You would have LOVED it. It wasn't a bar, it was more like a restaurant. It was really fun. (For the record I don't drink.)There were Janken games, etc. I must go again!
I would not have been very good company on Sunday as I had been camping with the Scouts on Saturday night at a Relay for Life function. I wasn't able to sneak away, there wasn't enough chaperones. I might have made it and been rather late, but we were all wanting to stay home and rest.
It sounds like it was a success. I hope this becomes another YesJapan tradition like the Pretz and Tea (or was it Pretz and coffee milk?! It's been a while since I watched the Four Gais in Japan vid that introduced this..)
How many people normally show up for this? I'm in England you see and its a long way for me to go just for one or two people (assuming there's gonna be another one of coarse lol)
Somehow I thought I read "in December". Anyway, I am planning to go to Tokyo in December if I can get a last minute offer. If anything is planned, I may be able to make it along.
