I've got a bunch of books for my daughter for x-mas. They are え本　for various ages and the younger books use the word どうれ　for どれ. Is that just a kid talk thing?　For example: いぬはどうれ？

Is using どうも instead of　ありがとう considered rude in a business? As in thanking the person behind the counter?

I see it the other way. If they don't match, it means the dub is badly done because it doesn't capture the dialogue well enough to be used in the subs.
