![]() member since 2021 Feb 11 Questions: 3 Comments: 0 | A bit of a random question, I've done Judo for a couple of years now and a match is finished when someone scores ippon. Today I did the lesson on counters (somewhere later on in course 1) and realised that ippon means 1 long/cylindrical object. Now as far as I know throwing someone flat on their back has no correlation to being long or cylindrical. Does anyone know why it is known as an ippon or is their another definition for this word? Thanks in advance!:D | ||||
