![]() member since 2021 Jan 13 Questions: 2 Comments: 2 | On page 143 of the book the first question is "what color car do you want? Say I'd like to answer "I like silver and white cars." Would I say: ぎいんいろ と しろい くるま が すき です (without the の) or ぎいんいろ の と しろい くるま が すき です (with the の, even though the の adjective ぎいんいろ is not adjacent to the noun くるま?) Thanks in advance

Your sentences are almost correct :) There is only one small mistake. "Silver" should be ぎんいろ (GIN-IRO). Here are some example sentences. 1)ぎんいろと しろい くるまが すきです。(GIN-IRO TO SHIROI KURUMA GA SUKI DESU) = I like silver and white cars. 2)ぎんいろの くるまと しろい くるまが すきです。(GIN-IRO NO KURUMA TO SHIROI KURUMA GA SUKI DESU) = I like silver cars and white cars. If you are using the One Pronoun の as in your second sentence, it would be better to use it for both colors. 3)ぎんいろのと しろいのが すきです。(GIN-IRO NO TO SHIROI NO GA SUKI DESU) = I like silver ones and white ones.
