Great question. You have most of the elements to make this sentence work. But the placement of MADE is incorrect. You are saying "until" my friend came, so the まで (MADE) must follow that phrase. The correct sentence is: 1. Tomodachi ga ie ni kuru MADE wa ichinichi kanashikatta desu. (the WA is an option) Until my friend came to my house, I was sad all day. MADE can be used with ANY verb or any KUNARU-form adjectives. EXAMPLES (verbs) 1. Nihon ni iku made... By the time I go to Japan... 2. Nihongo ga hanaseru made... Until I can speak Japanese... EXAMPLES (KUNARU-form Adjectives) 1. Atsukunaru made... Until it gets hot... 2. Yasukunaru made... Until it gets cheaper... In the current version of your sentence, you are almost saying "Until I was sad all day, my friend came to my house." Remember that particles ALWAYS follow the items they are attached to. | ||
